Terms of Service

Last updated:

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Cryptohopper.AI. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cryptohopper.AI platform (the “Service”), operated by Cryptohopper B.V. (Johan van Hasseltweg 18A, 1022 WV Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

By signing in or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • “Service” — the Cryptohopper.AI platform, including the website, AI-powered project generation, hosting infrastructure, and all related services.
  • “User” or “you” — any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
  • “User Content” — prompts, configurations, and any other material you submit to the Service.
  • “Generated Projects” — the trading bots, dashboards, tools, source code, and related assets created by the Service based on your User Content.
  • “Account” — your Cryptohopper account used to access the Service.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you sign in with your Cryptohopper account. You agree to:

  • Be of legal age and eligible to use automated crypto-trading services in your jurisdiction
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share them
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your Account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account.

4. Service Description

Cryptohopper.AI is an AI-powered platform that lets you generate, deploy, and host your own crypto trading bots, dashboards, and tools. You provide natural-language prompts describing what you want, and the Service uses artificial intelligence to generate source code and deploy it for you.

Cryptohopper.AI provides the platform you use to build and host these projects — it does not provide the trading bot itself, and it does not trade for you. The bots and tools you create are your projects: you decide what they do, how they trade, and whether to run them. Generated Projects are hosted under subdomains of cryptohopper.app (for example, your-bot.cryptohopper.app).

5. Your Projects and Intellectual Property

Your Content and Projects

You retain ownership of the User Content you submit and of the Generated Projects you create through the Service. They are yours to use, modify, run, and commercialize, subject to these Terms.

License to Cryptohopper.AI

By submitting User Content, you grant Cryptohopper B.V. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and process your User Content and Generated Projects solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the Service. We may use anonymized and aggregated data derived from your use of the Service to improve our AI models and platform.

Our Intellectual Property

Cryptohopper B.V. retains all rights, title, and interest in the Cryptohopper.AI platform itself — the website, user interface, design, documentation, AI models, and underlying technology. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any Cryptohopper intellectual property to you.

6. Your Responsibility for What You Build

Because the Generated Projects are yours, you are solely responsible for them — including how they behave once deployed. This means you are responsible for any project that malfunctions, contains bugs or security vulnerabilities, places unintended orders, loses money, or otherwise does not work as you expected.

Generated Projects are produced by AI and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining your projects before and after deployment, and for deciding whether to connect them to real funds or exchange accounts. Cryptohopper.AI does not review, endorse, operate, or supervise the projects you create.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate, deploy, or host projects that contain illegal content or facilitate illegal activity
  • Engage in market manipulation, fraud, or any unlawful trading practice
  • Create malware, phishing pages, or projects designed to harm users or systems
  • Abuse platform resources (e.g., excessive deployments, crypto mining, denial-of-service attacks)
  • Reverse engineer the Cryptohopper.AI platform or circumvent security measures, access controls, or usage limits
  • Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of others
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

Generated Projects run user-created code. We may remove any content or suspend any Account that violates these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.

8. Connecting Your Cryptohopper Account

The Service connects to your Cryptohopper account using Cryptohopper's official OAuth. You are responsible for the access you grant and for any actions your projects take using that access. You can review or revoke that access at any time from your Cryptohopper account. Your use of Cryptohopper's own services remains governed by Cryptohopper's applicable terms.

9. Public Library

The Service includes a public library where users may share their projects. When you make a project public:

  • It becomes visible to all users, including unauthenticated visitors
  • Other users may view and clone your project
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring the content you make public does not violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights

You may remove a project from the public library at any time by changing its visibility settings.

10. Hosting and Availability

We strive to keep the Service and your Generated Projects available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, with or without notice.

Scheduled maintenance may result in temporary unavailability. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or disruption arising from service modifications or maintenance.

11. Trading Risk; No Financial Advice

Trading cryptocurrencies involves substantial risk, including the risk of losing some or all of the funds you commit. The Service is a development and hosting tool; it is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing produced by the Service is a recommendation to trade or to use any particular strategy.

Any trading carried out by a project you build is your decision and your risk. You are responsible for understanding the strategies you create and for any gains or losses that result.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL GENERATED PROJECTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Cryptohopper B.V. does not warrant that the Service or any Generated Project will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or profitable, or that any project will perform as you intend.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRYPTOHOPPER B.V. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY TRADING LOSSES, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR THE PROJECTS YOU CREATE WITH IT.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Cryptohopper B.V. for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, and we may delete your project data in accordance with our retention policies after a reasonable export period.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
