Privacy Policy
Last updated:
1. Introduction
Cryptohopper.AI is operated by Cryptohopper B.V., a company registered in The Netherlands (Johan van Hasseltweg 18A, 1022 WV Amsterdam). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use Cryptohopper.AI (the “Service”) — the platform where you describe crypto trading bots, dashboards, and tools and we generate and host them for you.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
You sign in to Cryptohopper.AI with your Cryptohopper account. When you do, we receive basic profile information from Cryptohopper — such as your name and email address — to create and identify your account. We do not receive or store your Cryptohopper password.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including the prompts you submit, your project configurations, deployment activity, and feature usage. This data helps us provide and improve the Service.
Technical Data
We automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and referring URLs when you access the Service.
Payment Data
Where the Service involves paid features or a subscription, payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Generate, deploy, and host the projects you create based on your prompts and configurations
- Improve the Service, including our AI capabilities, using anonymized and aggregated data
- Communicate with you about service updates, security alerts, and support
- Ensure security, detect fraud, and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Your Projects & User-Generated Content
When you use the Service you submit prompts and configurations, and the Service generates project code and deploys it on your behalf. You own the projects you create. Your projects are hosted on their own subdomain at cryptohopper.app.
You control whether a project is private or publicly visible in the Cryptohopper.AI library, where other users can view and clone it. You are responsible for the content you choose to make public and for what your deployed projects collect from their own visitors.
We may use anonymized and aggregated content to improve the Service. We will not publicly associate your identity with anonymized data used for improvement purposes.
5. Connecting Your Cryptohopper Account
Signing in connects your Cryptohopper account using Cryptohopper's official OAuth, so you authorize access without sharing your password with us. We use the access granted to identify you and to enable the features you build that rely on your Cryptohopper account. You can review or revoke that access at any time from your Cryptohopper account.
6. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party services to operate the platform:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, compute, database storage, and project deployment
- Cloudflare — DNS management and content delivery
- Cryptohopper — account sign-in (OAuth) and crypto trading services your projects may use
These services have their own privacy policies governing their handling of your data. We select providers that maintain appropriate security and data-protection standards.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on AWS infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
As a company registered in The Netherlands, Cryptohopper B.V. is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch data-protection laws. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Project data is retained according to our retention schedule unless you request earlier deletion.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
9. Your Rights
Under the GDPR and applicable data-protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and receive a copy
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Deleteyour personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format
- Restrict or object to the processing of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at legal@cryptohopper.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.
10. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management
- Preference cookies — store your settings
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may limit your ability to use certain features of the Service.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18, and crypto trading may carry additional age and eligibility requirements in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have done so, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
